Short hair is in this season

This summer, take inspiration from short mid-length styles or short striking looks, with funky neon coloured-highlights. Celebrity hairstylist Aalim Hakim says that the new style that will be hot selling would be the tear-drop technique of hair colouring. “Short and unkempt hair styles will be sharper at the ends and will be the look to sport this season. These cuts can be enhanced by colouring with the tear drop technique, where the edges are coloured with neon shades, which look grown out or faded and very chic. Even the 3D hair colouring technique will very popular. The colours that will now rule are electric blue, purple, magenta red and yellow.”

Hair expert Placid Breganza votes for short and fringy hair styles. He says, “With the summer setting in, hair is moving to shorter lengths. The bob has taken a refreshing twist without hard lines, and more textured layers or softer graduation. It can be combined with a wipsy fringe, either long or short, but free flowing and textured. For the more experimental ones, the sides and back are really short and close to the head. The crown is kept long and textured giving it a funky and versatile flavour.”

Short is in  and it is attested by senior hair expert at Paul Mitchell. He adds, “Short hairstyles look amazingly stylish, and can offer high benefits for women with different hair textures and face shapes. This season ‘disconnected’ hair is really in along with short pixie haircuts and stylish bobs. The one thing that has really taken over this season is the messy fun-up dos and loose braids. For summers one must go for cool colors like cool ash, blue, purple, dark purple.”
